Premiere of THE OPG Music Video: “INDUSTRIAL STUS”

Odesa Poetry Gangbang (The OPG) presents the music video for their EP “PALIMPSESTS (part 1)” — “Industrial Стус,” filmed with the support of the “Tvorche Nezhyt” Gallery. The video shoot took place at the DRUK cultural and community center.

The OPG post-theater (Odesa Poetic Gangbang), a Kharkiv-based creative project by Vlad Radchenko and Nikita Lyutyi, is conducting a punk-futuristic experiment to popularize Ukrainian literature. The lyrics of the song are based on poems by Vasyl Stus, a Ukrainian poet of the 1960s and a dissident.

In the “Industrial Стус” music video, The OPG appear as a Ukrainian artist from the “Executed Renaissance”/“Sixtiers” era and as a KGB executioner. The work demonstrates how the Soviet regime tortured intellectuals and socially conscious youth in our country. The central message of the video is that every executioner will inevitably face just retribution.
