From July 13 to August 11 in Kharkiv, at the “Tvorche Nezhyt” Gallery located in the “DRUK” cultural and community center, the solo exhibition “Transformation: Reboot” by Marina Chaika opened its doors. The artist is a photographer and digital creator who works in abstraction, conceptual art, and digital art. The Gwara Media team attended the event and spoke with the artist.
Although Marina is originally from Kryvyi Rih, she has been living in Kharkiv for a long time. On July 13, she presented her exhibition here, dedicated to self-discovery and the search for new meanings in conditions that seem catastrophic. War is a reality one cannot escape. A person finds themselves at the center of this madness and faces a key task: to explore their own essence and discover new meanings. The works on display are devoted to self-reflection and healing.
According to the artist, the process of transformation is a path to self-knowledge, which consists of three stages. The first stage is the bodily geometry of returning to oneself as a physical being. The second stage deals with metaphysical aspects. The third and final stage focuses on social meanings and the need to explore the context and the people around.
