Jager Music Awards
The Ukrainian band TheOPG (Odesa Poetry Gangbang) is a creative association, in which Vladyslav Radchenko, head of the literary direction of the Kharkiv cultural and public center "Druk", participates. They define their aesthetics as a "punk-futuristic" mix of poetry and music: a poetic word, flowing in the Ukrainian context, is combined with music, which gives this word dynamics and relevance. This synthesis makes it possible to translate deep literary ideas into an open and accessible format.
One of the most notable works of the group was "Industrial Stus" - a composition based on the poetic lines of Vasyl Stus, a significant Ukrainian poet and human rights activist. In the recording and video series "Industrial Stus", the band TheOPG demonstrates the importance of historical heritage and at the same time integrates Stus's ideas into the present.
“Industrial Stus” was shortlisted for the “Young Blood” nomination of the prestigious independent Jager Music Awards, which is focused on identifying talented young artists. Participation in the final selection gives TheOPG the opportunity to declare itself to a wide audience, as well as to popularize the poetry of Vasyl Stus as an integral part of our national culture.
By casting your vote for TheOPG, you will not only testify to the value of innovative projects, but also help spread contemporary Ukrainian poetry. If you want to support their conceptual composition “Industrial Stus”, join the vote by following the link on the official website of the award.
