"Quirky Cities and What Lies Beyond Them" is the first solo exhibition of Andrii Khymernyi

"Excessive detailing of the landscape requires slowness, and careful looking into minor details. After all, these details, strange and pleasing to the eye, that matter. As for meanings, they are present, but not manifested, and must remain so.

Astonishment and poeticization of the city or forest pull the observer out of the stream of accelerated, anxious everyday life and immerse him in the rhythm of a leisurely walk. Large figures that appear on the horizon determine the angle of vision. Those who observe (we observe) from the individual and all-knowing absolute point of view. These are Gods. However, they are too crazy to try to understand them. In many paintings, one can see a board for the game. This is not an accident."
